Customer requested sourcing and installation of supercharger kit for an original Audi R8 V8 with intent to utilize vehicle on-track. VF Engineering supercharger kit selected for completeness and integration with factory components.
Vehicle was measured on AWD dynamometer for baseline power output values, and vehicle was modified over a multi-month period completing both supercharger installation and other requested work by customer.
Supercharged utilized in-plenum intercooling with a custom system consisting of: an air-to-water heat exchanger at the plenum, coolant distribution lines to front of vehicle, coolant reservoir and pump assembly, water-to-air heat exchanger installed below front-center engine radiator. Final installation, tuning, and testing of vehicle was performed, with final AWD dynamometer measurement before release to the customer.
