Wireless Channel Simulation in MATLAB

Comprehensive wireless channel simulations and comparisons of ground, sea and air-based transmission models completed in MATLAB. Ground models such as Hata-Okumura considered in layout grid space with centered transmission tower signal source for 4G/LTE cellular system. Parameters varied in simulation to generate data for comparative analysis across model type and class. MATLAB 3D plots utilized for signal visualization within the simulation environment.

Aerial model based on UAV communications with LOS considered and simulated for varying conditions such as vehicle height and environmental noise.

Vessel-to-vessel sea state model considered and simulated with varied environmental noise and sea condition or state. Sea state defined as general condition with respect to waves and swell, with a range from a glassy still surface up to an extreme turbulent condition with wave heights greater than 14 m. VHF and UHF voice and data communications considered.
